My old roommate got hitched, so my boyfriend and I spent the weekend in Sonoma for what was probably the most beautiful and love filled wedding I have ever been to.
I only say romp because there might have been some field sprints. There was also A LOT of dancing, so obviously I’m counting that as cardio too (duh).
Since most people will spend this last month or so of summer trying to soak up the warm weather, here are my top three tips for fitting in fitness on the go-
Vacation is a great time to drop everything, put on your running shoes and go explore a new place. Whether you’re walking or running, getting around on foot is a great way to sneak in exercise and get off the beaten path.
2) Rock your body.
Bodyweight exercises, like squats, push-ups and lunges, can be done anywhere, with no equipment. Check out this post for some tried and true bodyweight vacation workouts.
3) Try something new
Depending on where you’re vacationing, odds are that there is some sort of exercise studio near you. Use Yelp to Google a good class or just go the old fashioned route and ask the locals. If you’re in the city, there’s probably a Lululemon or Athleta where you can take advantage of free classes!0
